Michelle Tandler 🔦 added,
What is the point of arresting someone 13 times...? Isn't it thousands of dollars in police time to arrest people? If the arrest means nothing and does nothing, why do it?

"We must act with urgency to ensure that detention is used only when the risk of great bodily harm to another person outweighs the community public health consequences. Public health and public safety depend on it." @chesaboudinhttps://twitter.com/SFDAOffice/status/1333825561144147970 …
Paul added,
It's not I'm "cool with it" it's that incarcerating people for it at present poses a greater risk!
I legit thought you were trolling everyone, but you’re really arguing that people like this guy, who steals dozens if not hundreds of vehicles, should not be in jail. Do you really think he’s going to socially distance and wash his hands while he’s committing grand theft auto?
No. He’s not. And all of his victims now have a greater risk of catching covid as they have to go file police report and insurance claims, and then take the bus to work, grocery shop, replace their stolen stuff, etc.
How about the @HouseJudiciary ?
"we urge that you use every tool at your disposal to release as many prisoners as possible, to protect them from COVID-19."https://judiciary.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=2893 …
They are just covering their own asses. One time, even two time non violent offenders - sure give them a break. You’re arguing for the release of the worst repeat offenders. This type of crime cause so many downstream effects you people never take into account.
