This clip of Christopher Reeve transforming from Clark Kent into Superman is an amazing example of Alexander Technique and non-doing. Seriously, watch it. He doesn't haul himself up, he floats up to his full height effortlessly. How? 1/

I've had a few. I tell myself that I'd rather they go on their way if I'm not giving them what they need, but it still stings a little!

This feels totally crazy. I am hugely grateful that 99 (!) people have given me permission to send my thoughts to their inboxes.

The whole ancestral knowledge thing isn't something I have gone much into but seems really interesting. Also curious that I used the word shaman on an earlier version of this.

Something important (to me) is coalescing in my head.

I realise that what I'm getting at here is the differences between prickles and goo as Alan Watts describes it. I'm looking for a more accessible word for the prickles.

I saw live in London tonight. Every song felt so raw and emotional, like Avi was baring his soul for us. It's clear that each song means something to him. If you get the opportunity to catch him on tour then don't hesitate.

Yep. Now let's level up in a weird and wonderful way. Make this sign with your hands and then place the inside of your wrist roughly where your belt buckle would sit. That's roughly where your hip joints are, and yes they're that narrow/far in. You can test by moving your legs.

This might be the most dystopian ad I've ever seen on the Tube.

The Inner Game concept reminds me so much of Alexander Technique. When we let go of our need for control, our need to "do" whatever activity we're involved in, not only do we find a new sense of effortlessness, but we also get better results.
