Maybe you can provide a lyft to the voters in Randolph County, GA, where they plan to close most of the polling locations.

Happy to say the guy proposing the precinct closures has been fired!
-
Wonderful news!
-
The Elections Board hasn't ruled so even though that creep got fired it doesn't mean that they won't still close 7 of 9 locations. The ACLU is on it.https://www.nytimes.com/2018/08/23/us/randolph-county-georgia-voting.html …

Damn. Well thank you
@ACLU I will continue to donate! -
It took 17 seconds for the council to say nope. All polls will remain open!
-
Is that true? No closing of those polls?

This is awesome because
@TxDPS is considering closing 87 Driver License offices, which is the sneakiest form of voter suppression.#txlege From@TexasCounties: (Click to read & comment.) https://www.county.org/News/DPS-May-Close-87-Local-Driver-License-Offices … Here's the actual PDF of possible closures: https://www.county.org/TAC/media/TACMedia/Legislative/DPS-Recommended-Closures-List.pdf … -
How long before someone tries to ban ride service companies from offering free trips to vote?
-
The attorney general is already prohibiting school buses from doing it.
-
Ridiculous. If I lived in Texas I would be willing to drive people.
-
For whatever reason democrats have traditionally had one of the lowest percentage of eligible registered voters actually cast their votes election after election.
-
That was then, this is now. We all realize what horrible things can happen if we don’t vote.
-
Trump’s minions are scheming like witches in front of brew on how to reduce the wave. This short of time before an election and the only thing that has ever moved the polls dramatically is a huge international event. Putin wants to save his puppet so he will help where he can too
-
Can’t the “huge international event” be 45 becoming pres? And all of the horror he &
@GOP have caused? - 4 more replies

We need to set up a system where we all vote on paper ballots through the US Postal Service. Via a Registered Postal Service Numbering System similar to Social Security Number. That would put an end to this Bull Shit!
-
In Washington State we have paper ballots and we vote by mail. A ballot and detailed informational booklet covering all candidates and issues is mailed to every registered voter in advance of Election Day. We mail in our ballots (or take them to registered drop boxes).
-
That's amazing! Do you think someone could mail me a copy of that booklet? I'd love to see what we're missing.
-
Mail-in ballots help, but they are not a foolproof solution. There can be several issues, like “lost ballots”, ballots that are uncounted for some reason, or votes that are intentionally recorded incorrectly. Without audits, cheats are unknown. e.g., CA:https://twitter.com/rubenkmajor/status/971575553386954752?s=21 …
-
This exact thing happened to my ballot in 2016.
I mailed it in and was unaware it was “rejected” until I received a notice in the mail.
How many people never found out?
@ACLU_SoCal and@rubenkmajor have more info on these issues. -
I know that this is frustrating, but do you think that vote by mail is worse than exclusively day-of, in-person voting (which is actually still available in vote by mail jurisdictions)?
-
Oregon has had vote by mail since the 1990s. We have one of the highest voter turnout rates in the country. Not tamper-proof, but inherently more resistant to wholesale voter fraud and disenfranchisement. We also adopted AVR in 2016, increasing voter participation even more.
