Curious, not trying to debate this with anyone but BOTW 2, should weapons still have the durability system or no?

Either keep as is or overhaul. Crafting/fixing isn't the solution either. Weapons are a resource. They chose weapon durability over something like hunger or being tired. But no one complains about hunger systems in other games. It's accepted.
I would like if Link could use the slate to take pictures of things and when you have 3 pictures, he thinks of a resipe for a weapon you can craft

Crafting works IF the weapons you craft are different from the weapons you pick up. I think crafting works even better if what you craft isn't weapons at all, but stuff like the hookshot, or dashing boots, or climbing claws or something. Break weapons for parts, craft hookshot.

It would 100% be weapons that you either can find in the overworld, or extremely rare
