also I like that theres a group of people, talking, going back and forth. Brawler is fine and good, but I welcome this change in gameplay and hope it sticks

They actually made IMO a top tier RPG whereas the beat em up was fine and enjoyable but nothing to write home about, so I am also hoping that this gameplay sticks around and we get more tales of Ichiban.

I feel brawler yaku relied way too much on resources, with having to drink lots of energy drinks for 2 punches. It was fun but over 10 games with that style, I had quite enough

Ironically the beat em up games were more RPG than beat em up anyways, so when they announced this one being an RPG I was all about it. I was expecting it to be a really basic RPG, but they made something really innovative and satisfying.

It feels surreal that I actively go to get into combats and try to get enemies into roads, or close to items to see how it plays out the best rpg of this year
