  My view on them is they make great use of anticipation and faux depth. It feels like a fantastic game you could be playing right now if you only had that one character -- oh well, guess you don't get to play. Then you realise that's the entire game.

  I agree. Despite that, I find Genshin to be an actually enjoyable game entirely gacha aside. It's fun to have a new game to play with my friends but the content drought is too real rn
