aside from my bait, its basically a different game and genre; you are the traveller in a new world, you have to do quests, explore an expansive world (its smaller than botw by a lot but maybe has more thought in it?) and while it looks similar and there are similar mechanics
they are still a very different experience; botw is a make your own fun, exploring the world with all the tools you need genshin is a gacha but you can explore the world as you progress

Well, I saw that bait a mile away. I've played BOTW(it was my first switch game, day 1) and I know why I and other people like it. But I don't know what about GI makes it better than BOTW in people's eyes. Are the added waifus and gacha really it? or is there more?

I've had my fill of Gachas from burning out on FE:H so if I ever wanted to get into GI. I'm looking to see if there's anything else appealing in there and if those elements will appeal to me.
