im gonna drop a hot take; the filler episodes of steven universe were in general the heart of the series and the diamond conflict wasnt that entertaining for me

steven himself turning out to be the crux of every single thing in the universe made it so boring, the whole premise was that an ordinary kid from a more grounded reality got reeled into crazy magic cartoon stuff
It did get star wars'd gems at first were this magical thing, unfathomable and they just ended up being just the only other thing in the universe
