  Honest to god, I prefer the early seasons of Steven when they were slice of life escapades and dropped it when the big overarching plot starting being the focal point.

  they didn't do a great job of balancing the "human moments" with "fantasy adventure stuff" i never felt like i had a reason to care about the people of beach city and steven never felt like "a human with gem powers" he just felt like "a gem that didn't know gem shit"

  I like the slice of life episodes but I was kinda growing frustrated with how hastily the show treated the more dramatic subject matter while still having an abundance of eps about townie stuff.
