Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't conventions like E3 also normalize using the objectification of women to sell games through the use of "booth babes" or did that start somewhere else

Pretty sure the gross “booth babe” thing started with E3. I remember there was a booth for some Conan title one year and their “booth babe” was wearing basically nothing and in a giant cage.
