I totally agree here. There a whole team of people who have mastered mother games, and while I think the RH was good, it just doesn’t have the same charm as Earthbound or Mother 3 for me. I also think that his humor /style isn’t fitting for the series. He’s still an amazing dev.

Haha true! I just can’t think of a better way to describe the overall cohesive vibe that’s wholesome but also serious. The best way I can put it is tobys games have a friend vibe where mother has a familial vibe. Both good ofc but different. (me describing it takes up the tweet)

No, I do agree with yall, but they were different games and the narratives had to fit different tones and rhythm, given them the rules and a longer pacing I bet he could pull it off
