TBH Kirby needs to embrace that its essentially become a platformer beat em' up and make combatting enemies slightly more meaningful

I want either Kirby RPG ala Mario and Luigi where platforming is still relevant but combats are its own sauce or Kirby metroidvania where he can learn some abilities to progress a scenario

what if Kirby metroidvania but you progress by saving characters that you can switch to so you can solve puzzles built for that character you can have all the cool shit from Star Allies but without all the bad shit

you could probably structure a metroidvania with traditional copy abilities by only having one enemy with the necessary ability in an entire area and that ability becomes common throughout the rest of the game once you use it to solve the puzzle to get to the next area
