      I think the best thing about it is how most fanservicey elements actually have a well-thought place in the lore. Materias are actually special, magic ore you can meld yourself and the gold saucer fits perfectly within ul'dah's political situation, for example

      Heck, even the FFT raids have a reason for being there, with Ivalice being an ancient, lost civilization of legends and the events of Tactics a play within the game
