Final Fantasy 14 is easily one of the best written Final Fantasy games and it blows my mind its like a MMORPG with TONS of fanservice yet everything just...clicks? It's 100% a work of love and passion

I think the best thing about it is how most fanservicey elements actually have a well-thought place in the lore. Materias are actually special, magic ore you can meld yourself and the gold saucer fits perfectly within ul'dah's political situation, for example
