In ffxiv you can get fall damage but never die from it. Why even bother adding it then...

If you’ve got aggro, you will die while falling. Done it tons of times in Eureka.

to still punish you for falling but still have a bit of forgiveness. RoR2 does this too, I think it's a good way to go about it.
