I was thinking the other week about how weirdly dark and graphic was the tomb raider remake. Like do you guys remember it? There were TONS of unique animations for Lara to die. Made me really uncomfortable and never touched the sequels
It was also like really bad in story telling? You had this whole narrative about Lara being alone and surviving but she gets her friends back after what... An hour?

The third one is the good one of the remake series. They dialed back the random torture porn / wave shooter aspects and actually made a fairly decent exploration driven TR game. To bad it was the last outing for that version or Lara, because it was the only time they got it right
And then the best friend (NO HOMO) she spent the entire game trying to rescue completely vanishes from her life and the rest of the reboot games outside of some tie-in comics explaining how Sam got on the bus...
