Bleeding Edge is 4 years late to the hero/class based multiplayer party. Not sure what that says about society, though.

Arguably even later than that. Overwatch was the flashpoint that exhausted us all on the formula. Bleeding Edge would have needed to come out like 8 years ago

The community is thriving, check out http://Creators.tf It's a group of servers that have their own updates, maps, weapons, contracts, and cosmetics, all for free! They even just released their new Half-Life crossover update two days ago!
