The ventilators did not prevent the overwhelm or collapse of the hospitals. They would have been overwhelmed whether the patients were on ventilators or not. CN refused any help from abroad that would have contained the virus and actually helped the hospitals

Why do hospitals need ventilators? How does it impact HCW? If HCW are overcome due to lack of appropriate equipment caring for patients what happens to incoming patients and the population at large? What I am talking about is secondary, tertiary effects.
