? i don’t know about you @gasiorekm but I agree that these small actions should not be prosecuted. People don’t deserve to be jailed because they can’t find a restroom, or because they’re trying to make wage via sex work. that’s called criminalizing poverty.
Agree the folks pushed to these actions are suffering and jailing them is solving a symptom, not the disease. That said, the cost of letting these actions go entirely free of consequence is the increased suffering of other San Franciscans in terms of safety and comfort.
Going meta: I'd venture on scale of "strongly agree" to "strongly disagree" with statement, "reducing individual suffering is a collective responsibility" we would have some but not extreme difference
