        @lukew wonderful examples. It shouldn't be hard to apply to web pages either — surely most services could be distilled down to 3 - 5 tabbed…

        Phones are getting larger. Moving controls closer to thumbs improves UX, speed. @jordanmoore @lukew @WebReflectionpic.twitter.com/WgT44weIgT

        @Khanoisseur @jordanmoore @lukew if phones are getting larger you aren't moving anything closer ... hands are still same size. but ...

        @Khanoisseur @jordanmoore @lukew ... I was talking vertical scroll which might be annoying with my phone which has just the right size to me

        @lukew this one does not work so well in smaller screens though, I hate scrolling pages between fixed top & bottom bars ...right?

        @webreflection @lukew Totally agree, altho it's a pain in the * to reach a burger icon on any device (top left - top right).

        @warrebuysse that's why I usually ditch devices with screens > 4.7 inches, my hands ain't that big / @lukew

        @webreflection If the market evolves to a market with bigger displays (and it does) then you should prepare your websites for it. @lukew

        @warrebuysse my mobile sites work fine from 320 width up, my hands won't work so well on big screen+Z3 compact sells more than Z3 / @lukew

        @webreflection So you deny the fact that big screens are important or you just ignore the fact that they're getting more important? @lukew

        @warrebuysse neither ..nor ... I'm just saying my hands aren't getting bigger and corners will be more distant each year: It sucks! /@lukew

        @webreflection So it's time to do some brainstorming and come up with various solutions and see what works best. @lukew

      @lukew I am aware of the burger problem (sounds funny), but what's the alternative on mobile with a navigation of let's say 7 items?

      @lukew I don't see what this has to do with the hamburger menu. The tab bar has the same icons as the top bar had, just in a different order

      @lukew there's probably similar dynamics with iOS apps on home screen vs. beyond

      @lukew it's still very painful sometimes for me to explain people that "no, tabs are not old-fashioned, usage is better" despite the 'trend'
