    Done properly, when something goes wrong, support engineers will already be available, and aware of the problem before anyone else is.

    The eventual "solution" we came up with, was to delete and recreate the cluster and indices. Fortunately this was only a trial run and did not result in the loss of any critical data, or excessive downtime.

    Using Elastic Cloud was a mistake. Our cluster was down for about a week in its first month of operation. Support gave zero shits about the impact the service disruption had on our business, being mostly offended that we had duplicated a support request (we had not).
