This is making me blush. It’s also making me want to drop the preorder link ‘just in case’: linktr.ee/michaelcragg?f

Read some great books on holiday including this, #ReachForTheStars by @MichaelCragg. A brilliant, celebratory, gossipy history of 90s pop. The Spice Girls, 5ive, Sugababes, Blue, Steps, S Club and the rest. Great stories and interviews. If that's your era you'll love it

I've tried to to review the PS5 and Series S/X's first year of Being Things, and ended up talking about Marvin the Paranoid Android's arse

Examining the #PlayStation5 and #XboxSeriesX one year on, it’s hard to shake the feeling that these are consoles that launched a year too early. 📝 @lukeholland01 𝗙𝗨𝗟𝗟 𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗟𝗘 👉 whynow.uk/Xpc230s05zC

Everybody on the Guide desk – from back when I started to now, at the end – bloody loved this magazine. I hope that came across. I think it did. Gonna miss putting one of these out every week. Hope you enjoyed at least some of them

So yeah, this is a weird day. 9 years working on this funny little magazine with some of the best people I've ever met, let alone worked with. 7 years doing the Guide's twitter, which is why it sounded a bit like a grumpy, tired northern bloke, because it was

In the Guide tomorrow: the most overplayed song ever has been identified, and you probably already know what it is

PLUS: @joelgolby remembers the good old days when summer TV used to be, well, rubbish; in this week's Solved @lukeholland01 asks: what is the most overplayed song ever?; and @steverose7 runs through the best drive-ins around the UK to visit while the weather, briefly, permits

I pitched a show about slebs cruising about on wee fucking horses and TV is shit for not making it happen yet

Lockdown's given us all time to think. It's also given our writers far too much time to dream up TV and film concepts. From a Terminator sitcom to a star-making Timothée Chalamet turn as Dominic Cummings, some of these might just work. Others: no theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2

Wrote this about whether games are too expensive. Which – spoiler alert! – they aren't

In this week's Solved, @lukeholland01 asks are video games too expensive? Or, actually, is it just the right amount of bang for your hard-earned buck? theguardian.com/games/2021/feb
