On Monday I told par2 to create a 5% redundancy parity file on 2.5 TB of Deconstruct 2019 video. I did this because I make bad decisions. It's been pinning a CPU core for four days now.
Is the par2 format a hard requirement? There's a Reed-Solomon package that can do 1 GB/s per core, but it uses different matrices:https://github.com/klauspost/reedsolomon …
