I haven't driven a manual transmission in years now, and the probability that I'll ever drive one again is monotonically decreasing. Kind of a bummer; I always found manual shifting much more satisfying, despite the inconvenience.
Maybe they'll make a resurgence as a novelty after human drivers have been banned from public roads, and I'll be able to visit something like a "driving amusement park" to get my kicks.
Wait, who am I kidding, I won't physically go anywhere, I'll just play "Stick Shift 2031" in VR, and it'll be just as good -- better, since I won't be in any real danger. Maybe I'll even play it during my commute from the seat of my self-driving car...
