I game I sometimes play on long car rides: Look for acronyms on buildings (or just think of a popular one), and try to come up with a word that contains all of its letters in order. PBS -> publish, CDC -> condescend, etc. IBM is a tough one!
You can cheat pretty easily by grepping /usr/share/dict/american-english. .*i.*b.*m.* turns up quite a few solutions: firebomb, liberalism, tribesman... the trick is that the word doesn't need to start with the first letter of the acronym. :)
