Go's tooling is underappreciated by its critics. The build systems for C/C++/Python/Ruby/Haskell/etc. are like a waking nightmare by comparison. I'll die happy if I never have to trawl through a 4000-line machine-generated Makefile again.

So far I've managed to avoid ever compiling a Java program. :) Had I been born a few years earlier, it probably would have been unavoidable...
