    If homelessness in the 26 counties was calculated in the same way as it is in the 6, the number would ne astounding - it includes adults still living in the parental home, domestic violence shelters, sofa surfers and people who are already housed but overcrowded

    Worth noting, as figures of 20,000 homeless households in Northern Ireland were raised on , that the North’s definition of homelessness is far more expansive than ours - and includes people living in insecure accommodation and shelters.

    This is NOT historic abuse. Those women and children are us. When I was 17 I witnessed a friend give birth in our local hospital and have the baby taken straight from her. She was 20. It was the 1990s.
