Only 30% of waste styrofoam is recycled every year. The solution could be in your own home. Sponsored by INTCO Recycling.

My plan is not to go all out for The Coronation and save myself to go really large for the King's birthday (June 17th according to my diary which has taken it upon itself to acknowledge this).

Quote Tweet
So @theresecoffey and @EnvAgencyAnglia have solved it. It's wild birds that are to blame She told @clarissa_place "That pollution will not only be coming from humans, but from agriculture and wildlife. Especially wild birds that feed from the mudflats". eadt.co.uk/news/23490001.

Spent so many years filming weird VTs on bank holidays for the one show that I always feel at a loose end. Can’t help feeling that I should be dressed as a giant seagull doing bird scaring or something.

Let's not get too distracted by the fleeting impacts of El Nino and La Nina on surface temperature. It's the steady overall ocean heating we should be most concerned about. It will continue until carbon emissions reach zero.

While La Nina cooled surface a bit in 2022 preventing new record (still in top 5: cbc.ca/news/science/2), most of the heat is going into the oceans. And year after year, we are breaking records for ocean heat content. 2022 was not different. Our latest: link.springer.com/article/10.100

Have we all given up on action on climate and nature crisis? I can’t find much in the UK Sunday papers on what to do about it or cool things that are busting us out of the catastrophic status quo.
