    Well said James. This is a leadership pitch to appeal to the soft underbelly section within the Party who have fears about Muslims. It was calculated and the terms used with effect to garner that support. Who gets it in the neck literally - some of the most vulnerable women.

    If Boris Johnson can insult Muslim women in a newspaper column, sections of society will feel empowered to insult Muslim women in public. He knows this. His defenders know this. They’re all quite comfortable with it.
