Abbott is now explicitly calling for universal vouchers like Arizona. Under one bill, parents who homeschool or send kids to private school would get $10,000 per year per child in a savings account. The money could roll over and go toward college costs.

Surprised by how many great scientists were intensely spiritual too. Makes me wonder if reason and religion are fundamentally connected, even though we see them as opposites.

We lived in Airbnbs for ~2 years, and we’ve been screwed by hosts multiple times. Every time, support is virtually non-existent. They either don’t reply or side with the host *every time*, even when the host is intentionally and obviously violating a policy.

Paul Ehrlich provided the academic backing for the coerced sterilization of millions of people abroad under false pretenses of apocalypse, and suggested the U.S. govt put sterilants in our drinking water. If this man isn't a criminal, nobody is.

Read a great Reddit thread putting historical dates in perspective. Here are 8 gems. 1/ The moon landing was only 66 years after the Wright Brothers first flight (1903-1969). Within a lifetime, humans went from having limited flight tech to travelling ~239k miles from Earth.

1/ American TikTok employees should be (and arguably are) legally accountable/liable for any espionage conducted by ByteDance & the C-C-P using TikTok US. There is no plausible deniability left. If you work there, you do so knowing that US data is freely accessible to the C-C-P.

A lot of today’s problems - across culture, politics, and much more - have to do with our changing population pyramid. It doesn’t seem that way to most people, because it is a very slow crash. But it will be obvious by the end of the decade.

Replying to @lndian_Bronson
I saw it a couple years ago and was like.. that's the almost perfect population pyramid. each age cohort slightly larger than the one before, but also not such rapid growth that it's unsustainable. The whole world used to be like this. less than 80 years ago. Energy insane.

So the FBI had taken possession of the Hunter Biden laptop, knew for a fact it was 100% real, and repeatedly lied to Facebook and Twitter, telling them it was Russian disinformation, to get them to censor information they knew to be true, presumably to influence an election.
