I made* a little tool to add everyone you follow to a list.
Use cases:
- Chronological timeline like it's 2009
- Freeze of your followings at specific times
- Tracking the unfollow bug
follow-management.glitch.me
*made it earlier this year, but fixed it today

I was informed (reddit.com/r/Twitter/comm) that this may violate the Twitter automation rules.
„You may not add Twitter users to lists or add Tweets to collections in a bulk or indiscriminate manner.“

I'd argue that the tool does not add users in an indiscriminate manner, because it's a specific group of users (followings) and because it uses a private list per default, it doesn't notification spam anyone.
It could be argued that it still ads them in bulk.

What's your opinion on this? If it violates the rule, how could it be improved to not violate them anymore?
Else I will have to shut it down.

Hey! I made something similar but it grouped the lists evenly by how often people tweeted so you'd get a list of 800 quiet people, 100 chatty people, and 15 absolute blabbermouths. I couldn't ever get it working on anyone's account but my own. Can I send you the source code?

Sounds interesting.
When you click the button on the top right and then remix, instantly spins up copy of the tool that you can adapt (only needs new Twitter API keys).
Alternatively, you can send me the code lucahammer@gmail.com.

It's all open source. Feel free to remix it on glitch or send me the corrections you would make, so I can change it. It's a weekend project (well, two weekends), so I didn't put too much effort into the copy.

I didn't know about that project. From a first look, it does exactly the same.
