Twitter meditation. There are Tweets that upset me. I recognize that they exist but I do not engage. I allow them to vanish. My timeline is relaxed and calm. Namaste.

43k Tweets containing hackerangriff, datenklau, hackerattacke, btleaks, _0rbit, _0rbiter or the blog URL. unge hack was at 18:06 on 03.01.19 as far as I know. URL and accounts were shared at that time, but became popular in the morning of 04.01.19. /18

Twitter removed another three suspected accounts of the perpetrator. , and . _Troja_ account had a similar meaningless boilerplate as _0rbit linked in the bio. I am waiting for Twitter to take the last known account down before writing about it. /17

If they had released the data on any of the right wing or troll chat groups, there would have been hundreds of Tweets about it. But they didn't. They had to get into a popular Twitter account to get noticed. Therefore I assume they acted alone. But I don't know. /16

Speculation: While the person seems to follow right wing ideology (based on language and targets) similar to Reconquista Germanica, I don't think they are directly connected to any organization. Else they wouldn't have had such a hard time getting noticed. /15

A YouTube account shared the URL of the blog in the comments of a right wing video. A week ago. Nobody reacted. /14

    - The links posted themselves got about 12k clicks each. - Most of them today. - Even the old ones weren't clicked until 03.01.19 /13

According to , who knew the perpetrator for years, their main intention was attention and the account they used was owned by a YouTuber before they took it over. The deleted Tweets probably were from the former account owner. /12

My theory that the logins came from the Ilias hack is probably wrong. /11

    - It's possible that someone from inside leaked the logins though. - The data was re-composed with likely lots of manuell work. - There is extensive data about few people (photos, chat logs, files) and few data about others (mostly from address books) /10

    - If it contained logins in plain text and politicians reused those logins, it explains what happened. - A different theory is someone with inside access from the Bundestag leaked the data. I think that's wrong, because the data seems to be from private accounts. /9

    - To me it looks like they got usernames and passwords and used them to access various private accounts. - A potential source is the Ilias hack from March 2018. - It was a platform with vulnerabilities used by the Bundestag. /8

    - It appears most of them are old as well. Old as in released before and old as in not relevant anymore. - The bigger releases are about political parties. - But the data does not look like from an official server. More like private cloud storage and social media accounts. /7

Let's look at the released data. - Over 40 dumps. 25 in December 2018. - Most of them are small. (Still a crime to release it.) - They contain private addresses, phone numbers, skype and mail addresses as well as semi-public information (eg. names of relatives). /6

    - I am not sure about the significance of the 8 (5) accounts they followed because they followed 169 in early 2017 and unfollowed everyone. - It will take more time to collect all their followers and analyze them. That could tell me more about bots as well as their network. /5

    - Tweets, replies, faves and followers let me assume the account had a gaming / youtube / right wing background. - Nobody cared about the initial release of the dumps in December 2018. The dumps were released one at a time from 1. to 24. december. /3

    - was created in February 2015 and had over 18k followers. - Most of the followers were probably bots. They followed the account in batches in April 2017. - The account had 2.7k Tweets but deleted them all in June 2017. /2

What I know and speculate about at the moment. - Two Twitter accounts and were used to distribute the material. - It took Twitter way too long to take them down. Google was faster in taking down the blog that was used. /1
