GitHub deal is great for MS, GitHub and users. MS tropes need to stop. They are a different company. That is all.

Well the backing of one of the world's largest company's for one. They are already a top contributor to GitHub so increased developer relationships. I'm not sure how any of those could be bad for users

I worked for company for dozens of years, I know big company could execute confidential "strategy" for many years without being interrupted by its CEO/board change.
