  3. Ever wonder how the Apollo astronauts were trained? Find out from their coordinator for science training:

  4. Gemini 7 launched, making possible the 1st manned space rendezvous - a critical step for future manned missions to the Moon and beyond.

  5. Found! A decades old mystery is now solved. Apollo 16 S-IVB Impact Crater

  6. Some of my results will be featured today in an online workshop about polar regolith:

  7. How well do you know your space photos?

  8. from the Moon :o)

  9. Try this throughout the lunar cycle! A fun activity for the whole family this holiday weekend.

  10. When you see a full Moon, your partner (looking at you from where the golf ball Moon is) shouldn't see any light on your face: a new Earth.

  11. If you do the activity, your head is the Earth. Have your partner watch how much of your face is illuminated, standing by the golf ball Moon

  12. That activity will show you how we see the phases of the Moon from the Earth. Find a partner to help you think about the phases of the Earth

  13. Convince yourself! Try an activity like this:

  14. Only from the Moon, the phases of the Earth are opposite! When you see a full Moon, I see a new Earth. If you see a 1st Qtr, I see 3rd Qtr.

  15. That's right: from my perspective orbiting the Moon, I get to watch the Earth go through phases, just like you watch the phases of the Moon.

  16. Full Moon tonight for all of you Earthlings, and a New Earth for me!
