It was the trip to CDC, covering President Trump. I flew home and canceled everything.

Walking the dog, between packing for a ski trip to Canada. First case reported in our small Colo county. I said to the hubs, "maybe we shouldn't go." Why, he says? "Because, you know... exponents," I replied. We didn't go.

Pi Day. We always have a pi day party (March 14) and one of the friends we invited suggested that maybe, according to his information, gathering in a group right now was not advisable. I debated a bit but then cancelled the party. (We still ate pie, though.)

I teach high school. A kid came in my room and said, “Mr.H said we aren’t coming back next week - and we’re going to be gone for a long time!” Mr. H is a credible science teacher. It was March 13. We were one week away from spring break.

It was when the federal government ordered mass telework and that Monday driving to work in Maryland and the Baltimore Washington Parkway was like a ghost town.

Tail end of a regular work trip. Arrived back into DFW and things felt "off" at the airport. It was quiet..too quiet. Masks. I thought it would be a rough couple weeks but be back to normal by delivery date. Our 2nd born is now nearly 11 months old, and we're still not through it

I didn’t have a that moment because my dear friend who lives in Daegu told me to get ready in February. I told my students (I’m a college professor) to be prepared to not return to campus after spring break. I will never forget the response in my classroom. It got loud.
