I will also say this was a parting gift from our ace producer who is also leaving the show to go to (they are lucky to have her!). She has been doing all our entertainment bookings for a few years and damn, she is good at it.

I never changed my name but my mom sends packages, letters and gifts to Mrs. ‘my husband’s last name’. I’m her daughter! She could just send it to ‘Lulu’ 😳🤣

This is so important. Any person who suffers from obesity will tell you that how much you eat or how much you exercise has little to do with how fat they are.

Lulu this interview brought so much joy to everyone. I told my 82 y/o mom about it during her first "propped FaceTime" today in rehab, where she's recovering from 2 months in hospital & learning🎥skills. I did my best Sir. Michael impression & she laughed a ton. Thank you both!💛

Today in ‘The entire corner of the stadium in Miami Gardens, right by Miami’s tunnel, erupted in cheers as one student raised the cat in the air like it was Simba from “The Lion King.”

Watch on the talk of "unity" around 9/11 and how fear-based decisions 20 years ago "paved the way for the very deep divisions and disunity that we see today"

Good morning! A great show with a look at a new 9/11 report and what it says about Saudi Arabia and the hijackers, the Taliban hoist their flag over the presidential palace in AF, ballooning pet bills, plus my zoom call with Sir Michael Caine. Join us!

I was a young reporter in Colombia when the planes hit, working for , soon after sent to Afghanistan and a career covering many of America’s conflicts. 20 years and this day is such a hard one. Thinking of all those who died on that day and their families.

My life is complete. I just helped Sir Michael Caine with his first zoom call. Tune in Sunday. (And yes those are the his Oscars, and he wanted to make sure I knew he wasn’t showing them on purpose but he didn’t know how to adjust the angle of his camera 🤣)

But it is time to say goodbye. Like much of the US, I need a break! I'm leaving at the end of October filled with love and gratitude for all I've been able to do to fulfill our public service mission. Please support . And thank you for listening.

Perhaps no greater honor has been becoming the first Latina to host an NPR Flagship show. The amazing conversations I've been able to have are too many to name. Our team is the heart of it all. Every show is a collaboration. I own only a small part of what we make..

In 2004, I joined as Mexico City correspondent and I have been so lucky to have been given so many opportunities by this amazing organization. Yes, I've covered calamities and conflicts, but also the explosions of joy and incandescent bravery that mark the human spirit..
