I wrote a book about Dadd. He was one of the first patients in Broadmoor and took 9 years to paint The Fairy Fellers Master Stroke, which featured on a couple covers.

Researching for Book 5, I discovered English painter Richard Dadd (1817-1866) who murdered his dad & spent the rest of his life in Bedlam & Broadmoor asylums, where he never stopped painting, creating ‘Crazy Jane’ a host of other astonishing works #lovemyjob

My twins are 23 today. Not sure how that happened!! Being their mum has been the most challenging, exhausting, chaotic and joyful experience of my life.

Getting my statement was a nice surprise. Huge thanks to anyone who borrowed my books and to the libraries who stock them. Writers earn a small amount from every book borrowed, but it does add up. Writers, it's worth signing up for PLR if you haven't already.

Hellebores in my garden. I’m finding this January particularly dark, and they cheer me up no end. Hope they have the same effect on anyone else struggling with the lack of light 💚

I was making lunch and looked up to see a visitor on my roof, giving every sign of wanting to join me. He even brought a friend. Reader, I did not invite them in.
