If the mindset in an intervention and/or special education setting is to provide palliative/hospice care rather than targeted triage there must be a shift in mindset. Core +more with urgency.

Love your analogy! I see it over and over and over, where interventionist act as if they are Hospice nurses, providing care for the dying rather than working with a sense of urgency!

Agreed!! But because of flaws in the TIER 1 instruction curriculum and delivery...and because some children have not been properly identified....you tend to see the same children rotate in and out frequently...there's growth but it's minimum

This is a cool anology! Thank you for sharing. I agree with you. The best tier 2 instruction I have seen is when we collaborate with each other and use assessment information to give kids what they need in a fluid and flexible structure....
