Locals also bring in money. I'm paid by EU. My OH has clients in other parts of Scotland & UK. Tourists don't bring more than locals.

Whilst some will be AirBNB, I want to highlight that in support work we also use these for accessing particularly vulnerable people's flats

True but talking to residents in the old town it is clear that those vulnerable people are often the last permanent residents in a stair.
