    "...when reviewed holistically with all other admissions components..." reads a lot like the back of those cereal boxes that claim the cereal is "part of a healthy breakfast" but the first ingredient is sugar and the rest of the breakfast is implied to be fruit and veggies. 🤨

    GRE scores, when reviewed holistically with all other admissions components, serve as the only truly objective measure in graduate school admissions and therefore remain a critical piece of the puzzle. Learn more:

    I'll likely be moving soon, and I got really tired of typing every address into to find out the commutes lengths, so I built a tool () to make it quicker/easier 😀 It even does a grid search to find the happy intersection of all your commutes!

    Shout out to colorbrewer and other online tools that will help you get better color palettes. Data visualization is important!

    Ever wonder 'why' exactly rainbow colormaps are bad? In our EuroVis paper, we provide empirical evidence that they perceptually discretize continuous data. Turns out that the discretization happens in unpredictable ways for different datasets. Sorry 🌈 👎
