I'd prefer slightly longer talks next year. These feel more like ads for the paper than a presentation of the paper. #cscw2020

I find the shorter the talks get the less I want to attend the conference. I can read papers at home. I go to conferences to engage in interesting dialogue around the work.

Do you mean the talk (as in the time spent on presentation), though, or is that inclusive of the time spent on the work including discussion/questions?

I just did say that, Loren? :) Do you remember when CHI sessions were 30 minutes per paper, 20 minutes for the talk plus 10 for questions? I'm not advocating for that, but 5 min is too short. Talks at CSCW 2013 were 12 min + 5 min for questions, which was perfect :)

(a) I got lost in the thread, so I'm not sure what you were referring to. I think I was just trying to emphasize a point in an exaggerated way. I apologize if I said exactly what you said. (b) I do remember...
