I'm putting that as neutrally as I can, because giant structural conflicts about new media forms might not come with actors wearing white and black hats. The only thing I want to advocate for right now is, recognizing them in a clear-eyed way as structural conflicts.
The letter seemed "right" to me in a generic way... i.e., it made general statements about illiberalism, without any attempt to quantify how prevalent or consequential these area. The set of signatories was quite interesting. But I have no idea what you meant by your framing.
