i am also suspicious that i may have this part wrong. if i put the perspective first, it's really off but looks like it is in perspective (see video i just posted) . if i have it at the end of the set of operations, it seems to be in ortho but scaled down uniformly with depth.pic.twitter.com/cwEChdjaqk

ok, progress: i have isolated the problem. if i turn off my perspective matrix completely, i have a perfectly respectable ortho projection. so the problem is somewhere in the perspective operations.pic.twitter.com/nkMEyDCQGZ

the bad news is i don't have perspective projection working yet. but! the good news is this one doesn't have the weird slowdown the other had. maybe i can use save this + use it as an effect for warping or something.pic.twitter.com/pa3tmB1X1m

perspective projection bug. (i think the slowdown is terrible CPU overload caused by very very long shapes at some angles. clipping should fix that but i don't have that yet.pic.twitter.com/ncAzxh6JJc
