Hard to believe that 20 years ago, I got a call from my dad telling me they'd lost the orbiter and that he and mom wouldn't be coming home for a while as they stayed at JSC to figure out what happened. Sharing their experience again today

I remember going in to work that day and right when I walked in that story hit the news and was on the TVs in the entry way... I felt stunned, and like I was 8 years old again watching the Challenger

Thanks for this! I remember that day, I was changing flights in the Chicago airport, and I could not believe the news developing in real time. As always a space fan I was in tears. It is the astronauts themselves, their families and friends but you bring also the rest of people
