We're seeing a lot more pushback against cancel culture, Justine Sacco and Louie CK are working again, etc. Even as some parts of academia and media continue playing out their death spirals, even sympathetic voices like the NY Times are settling on some non-insane version.
Birth rates dropping means lots of old people who need to be cared for. I bet that will become a manly job in the future.

I wouldn't really bet on it, but I certainly hope that culture will follow the economic incentive. Do we have data from Japan about working-class men jumping into eldercare?

Googling around, it seems that in Japan women are over-represented in "human-services" professions (like healthcare) except the ones that are well paying and high status (like physician). Eldercare will have to become highly paid at some point, but not sure about high status.
