To put it simply, defeating white supremacy/racism will never be something people will accept. There is no “better time” to combat hate. And even so, we’ve managed to move forward on a number of pressing issues. Exactly, defeating racism will never be done, it’s not the job of a school board to unilaterally solve it. Your JOB is to get KIDS educated - THATS IT. You’re failing at your job (SF schools suck by all metrics) and you’re instead wasting time/resources by not doing your job.

Part of educating kids is teaching them about systemic racism. Many school boards are attacked for not addressing these issues. There's also the myth that the board invented this project and worked hard on it. All they did was vote. No time/resources wasted.
