Just to clarify, to be eligible for monetization channels will need 4k watch *hours* in the past 12 months and 1k in *total* subscribers.

It's weird that they'd have the update show the required time in hours when they know that everyone's analytics displays watch time in minutes. I guess it's to make the requirement feel less daunting, but all it's doing is causing confusion.

It’s dumb and misleading like if you mean hours SAY hours don’t say minutes and then be on some other stuff to make the standards THAT much more unrealistic for small channels to meet, you know?
