Congrats ! What is the trick?
This week: find a small performance bug on the new @QuarkusIO FT implementation, fix it; meanwhile find a big startup improvement (200ms), fix it, meanwhile learn a new performance trick on final fields on constuctor.
Contributing to #OSS is fun.

Apparently, the JVM emit a memory barrier at the end of a constructor if one of the initialized field is final. This can cause small performance penalties (a few ns) when creating a lot of objects. I plan to test it next week, because I'm curious ;)
