Today's the day! Still has some rough edges, but you can check out StoryAssembler, a javascript engine for generating choice-based narratives at

  2. It has some latency but I think you'd get used to it. Field of tracking is huuuuge compared to Leap Motion etc. Finger precision seems really good! Still a little hairy on the UX for selecting etc, but that's to be expected for early days.

  3. Tried hand tracking on the Quest and it's really good! Can't wait for official stuff like this experiment to start showing up...

Interesting...I get a real "Hobbit" vibe from the increased framerate...in some cases I'm like "ooh that's better" and in other cases I'm like "hmmm no not quite same effect"

OK maybe I'm the only one who thinks this is cool, but watching these bots live-tweet alternate renderings of my own book side by side is kinda awesome

Niche tweet: tried Pokemon Go's new Battle thingie (where you get, you know, two shields per fight) and a guy used FOUR SHIELDS in the match??? How is this possible???

I used to wonder why the interfaces on Star Trek are so clunky given that it's centuries in the future, but I guess that's just Enterprise software for you

I mean, hacking a Kinect 2 can get you way better it seems, although I'm sure getting the data out is probably a nightmare

Like...this is also probably hopelessly ignorant of me, but with all the pose-detection ML stuff happening recently, feels like we won't be too far before you could do this with just...multiple camera feeds of the actor?

The suit he uses in the video is so expensive they don't give you a price, but seems like it costs between $12k - $30k...I saw some posts from people saying the $2.5k one is pretty good though...

Idly curious if 1. $200 facial capture () + 2. $2500 mo-cap suit () = Affordable pipeline for capturing a bunch of performances and getting them into a game? I keep being intrigued by this sort of stuff, but I am so ignorant...
