    Code is often easiest to understand (and fix) through the very act of pulling it apart.

    This turned out to be a game changer for us. I get the rant, . Honestly, I didn't quite believe in it at first. We had big modules, and I didn't understand how more modules would do us any good. Spaghetti is easier to fix if it's in one neat place, not exploded.

    Stacking PRs is a huge superpower. Get comfortable with rebasing and you need never be blocked.

    One of the many things I was constantly amazed about during my first few weeks at Square/Cash App was seeing how fast this team shipped code. Here's a summary of my observations and learnings from the last ~two years.

    Verizon comms is awful. It takes maybe 15 minutes for people on Twitter to notice a widespread Verizon outage AND understand the scope of it. will never act like they've even heard about it, let alone spotted it themselves and are fixing it.

    The best investment I made in my kitchen last year was buying a stack of cheap cotton towels — and it's not even close.

    Yeah, one problem with being a terrorist leader is terrorists are probably kind of hard to manage.

    Crow is right. Numerous House Rs have received death threats in the past week, and I know for a fact several members *want* to impeach but fear casting that vote could get them or their families murdered. Not spinning or covering for anyone. Just stating the chilling reality.

    Google, Apple, and now Amazon are disrupting a terrorist insurgency's communications. Every company should be looking at whether their services might be used in an attempt to overthrow the government in the next two weeks, and take whatever measures necessary to prevent that.
